IF:Gathering
IF:2024 is a chance to gather. A reason to celebrate. A moment to refocus on our mission to go make disciples because we know our time on earth is short. And if Jesus were to come back in our lifetime, wouldn’t we want to have done everything in our power to reach every person on earth?

Liturgical Worship
Liturgy has a rich history for the Church. Liturgy emphasizes repetition week after week that impresses things of scripture on the heart of the believer and involving the whole congregation in worship. There are beautiful aspects we often overlook in our worship today that we want to take time and focus on. We won't get the full effect since we don't do this on a regular basis, but it's a tradition with beauty we can still learn a lot from. Join us Sunday May 5 at 9:00 AM!

Volunteer Help Needed!
We have big plans to do some long overdue updates to our building. Thank you for your generosity in giving to make this a possibility! In efforts to be good stewards and help the funds go as far as possible we are asking for a little help to move some things and putty and help with some of the prep leading up to the updates.
Sunday March 24 - After church we'll need help moving some of the furniture in the foyer and cleaning out the space for painting and carpet. We will also try, time and people permitting, to remove the pews.
Monday March 25 - The chair railing is coming down in the foyer, but we'll need to putty the holes to get it prepped to paint. There are also several holes on the stage we'll need to putty for paint also.
Saturday March 30 - We'll need to move the chairs down to the gym and set up for worship for Easter Sunday Worship.
Eric will also need some help throughout the week with breaking down the stage, reach out to him to help out!
Thank you all so much for all your help and effort making this place a place that honors God and points people to him!

Grief Share
If you have experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to register for the GriefShare program held at Grace Christian Church.
This nondenominational program features Christ-centered, biblical teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. The video based seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people, followed by a small group discussion about what was seen on the video. Many grieving people find they are only beginning the work of healing when friends or family have returned to their daily life routines. Past participants have related how helpful the information and follow-up discussions were to them. Your bereavement experience may be recent or not so recent. You will find encouragement, comfort, and help in grieving the death of a spouse, child, parent, sibling, other family member, or friend. No matter what the cause of your loved one’s death, this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling. You will learn how to recognize the symptoms of being stuck in grief and that you do not need to live in bondage as a slave to certain emotions. You will learn valuable information about facing your new normal in life and
renewing your hope for the future. Grief-related books/materials are made available for participants to borrow.
GriefShare will be held Wednesdays at 6:30 PM at Grace Christian Church at 8067 Atlee Rd Mechanicsville VA. To register or for questions, call 804-746-5765 by September 4. Child care will (hopefully) be available. Cost is $10 per person to help cover costs, but scholarships are available.
Please register here to have online access to videos.

Never in the history of civilization have we been more connected and felt more alone. We are all so lonely. What if the ways we have set up our lives are fundamentally broken?
In the Find Your People video Bible study, bestselling author Jennie Allen looks at the original community in Genesis, the Trinity, and the creation of people to see what God had planned for us all along. Jennie offers practical solutions for creating true community in a world that's both more connected and more isolating than ever before.
Drawing on fascinating insights from science and history, timeless biblical truth, and vulnerable stories from her own life, Jennie helps us discover exactly how to dive into the deep end and experience the full wonder of community. Along the way, we’ll discover the five life patterns required to build deep, connected relationships.
You were created to play, engage, adventure, and explore—with others. Because while the ache of loneliness is real, it doesn’t have to be your reality.
